Welcome back!
The Burlington County 4H Cloggers are excited to start their 51st season!
We already have been very busy. We have performed at the Waretown Bluegrass Festival at Albert Music Hall. Next, we clogged at the Sacred Heart block party in Riverton, NJ. We also danced at the Chew’s UMC Harvest Festival in Glendora, NJ. We enjoy dancing for the crowds.
Besides learning new dances, our club focuses on community service. This year we are honored to make cards and collect bags for Unforgotten Haven. They will use these cards and bags to make snack bags for chemo patients.
Throughout the year we have many “Spirit Nights”. This is a fun way to build community. In October, we had a Halloween Party. Everyone dressed up, had snacks, and a dance-off. Our costumes were judged for prizes. It was great fun. There are two pictures for you to see. One is of the entire club and the other is a picture of our costume winners!
Every year we invite new members to join our club. This year we would like to welcome Alivia B., Charis C., Dakota C. Emma F., and Autumn G. to our club. If you are interested in joining our club also, we will be open to new members next September.
In this season of thankfulness, we are happy that we have two locations to hold practice. Our main location is at Burlington County Special Services, we have been fortunate to be able to practice there for many years. Our second location is in the vendor barn at the Burlington County Agricultural Center. This is a pole barn with three sides and a cement floor. It gives us a very different floor to dance on and can become cold as the practice moves on during the night. Thanks to our leaders, we are moving and staying warm with dances the entire time!
Happy holidays to all 4-H members and their families!
Respectfully submitted,
Jocelyn H.
