May and June had the 4-H Goat Gang club preparing for the Burlington County Farm Fair. We started preparing for the Fair by practicing walking our goats at Fernbrook Farms. Two presenters, Maddie and Hannah, gave their first club presentations, too. Hannah presented about the trumpet, and Maddie presented about her pet bearded dragon that she brought with her and allowed each member to touch. The bearded dragon presentation was very interesting, according to Charlotte. The part about how you can toilet-train a bearded dragon was the most interesting to her.
For the rest of the summer, we plan to get ready for the fair. We will groom our goats and set up pens the day before. We will also do Paint the Barrels. Finally, we will do the county goat show and the Antique tractor parade.
