Hello 4-H members, families, and leaders.
Throughout January- April the 4-H Cloggers have been busy. As a community service project, we collected personal items like toothpaste, body powder, toothbrushes, and shampoo. On February 1st we delivered these items to Addiction Answer, a homeless outreach in the Kensington area of Philadelphia.
We also continue to collect soda can tabs for The Ronald McDonald House.
Every year the 4-H members elect new club officers. Introducing our new officers:
President – Rebekah V
Vice President – Dasha F
Treasurer – Anna N
Secretary – Gwyneth S
Recorder – Jocelyn H
Historian – Maria S
Health Officer – Joia H
The new officers officially took their place on awards night, March 14th. That same night we celebrated a St. Patrick’s Day party by wearing green.
The 4-H cloggers hosted the public presentation workshop. The officers prepared sample speeches for every type of presentation that 4-H offers for county level.
These officers demonstrated to any 4-H member how to and how not to do a public presentation. This event took place on February 15th. The county-level Public Presentations were held from March 18th – March 22nd and we are happy so many members of our club presented this year.
On April 11th we had a spirit night. Many members came wearing long socks to show their spirit. Some wore socks all over their bodies.
We are looking forward to some upcoming events too. We will be performing on April 21st at the Smithville Earthday event. We are also looking forward to the July Farm Fair. We can’t wait for it! There are some pictures attached for you to enjoy.
All in all this season has been very successful. We look forward to continuing the year together.
Cordially,
Jocelyn H., Recorder
