Happy Spring from the Goat Gang 4-H club of Burlington County, where our club members have goats, sheep, and chickens. We meet once a month to learn about livestock. We love goats!
In December of 2022 we had a holiday party. We played a gift exchange and made a craft for the Goat Extravaganza. In January of 2023, some of our members went to the Goat Extravaganza, which was a lot of fun. Charlotte D. won 1st and 2nd place in Novice 3-D art, Josiah D. won 3rd place in Novice 3-D art, Jonathan F. won 1st place in Senior 3-D art, Cali T. won 2nd place in Senior 3-D art, and Jonathan F. also won 3rd place in Senior Photography. At the Goat Extravaganza, our members won some other awards. Arya W. won 1st place Team Presentation [gym], Josiah D. won 1st place Team presentation [kitchen], Juliet D. won 3rd place Team Presentation, and Jonathan F. and Cali T. won 3rd place in the Senior Quiz Bowl.
In January of 2023 we had a club meeting and some of our club members did presentations on Bread Starters, Awesome Cows, Yellowstone, The Guitar, and Felting. In February of 2023, many of our members went to the Cupcakes and Canvas event at the 4-H office. We also had a club meeting where guest speakers Carolyn Shelby and Nona Chamberlain told us about chickens. Some of our members also entered the Top Chef competition hosted by Middlesex County.
