Dear Extravaganza Participants, Goat Advisory Council, 4-H Department:
Thirty-four (34) 4-H members representing eight (8) clubs from seven (7) counties (Burlington, Cumberland, Hunterdon, Mercer, Monmouth, Somerset, Warren) participated in the 2022 NJ 4-H Goat Extravaganza on Saturday, February 12 in Ewing. The event included goat-themed art exhibits in three categories (88 entries), a poster-presentation contest (10 teams), skill-a-thon (8 stations), and a quiz bowl (28 questions per match – one-on-one and toss-up). Congratulations to all participants!

Mark your calendars for the Junior Breeder Symposium at Rutgers on Saturday, March 26 (see our blog post to register – we have great workshops lined-up in a variety of animal projects) and for the State 4-H Goat Show on Thursday, August 25 at the Hunterdon County 4-H and Agricultural Fair. Also, videos for the NJ 4-H Animal Science Video Contest must be uploaded by March 7.
