Flying Changes 4-H Club has had a few FUN summer meetings. In July we had our meeting at the Horse Advisory Pool Party. At this meeting we made nominations for our new officers for next year starting in September, we talked about upcoming ideas for community service, and all decided that a fun game show would be perfect for September 18, 2021, at the fairgrounds. After the meeting, all the club members, along with Tri-Boro, and Young Riders enjoyed Minute to win it games, Pictionary, and horse pool games (barrels and Poles in the pool). It was a fun meeting, nice and refreshing in the pool. We also found out that one of our members, Maritza F., was the recipient of the 2021 Marie Asper Scholarship, congratulations Maritza!!! A BIG THANK YOU TO HORSE ADVISORY FOR INVITING FLYING CHANGES TO A WONDERFUL OUTING!
Fast forward to our August meeting, AGAIN, another pool party, thank God because it was so HOT, we enjoyed a nice and refreshing swim (thank you to the Dilk’s family ;)). At this meeting, we talked about the upcoming September fun show, Equestrian of the Year, and the club voted on the new officers for next year. A big CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING: Flying Changes 4-H club President: Cassandra D., Vice-President: Mia R., Secretary: Cali R., Treasurer: Devon M., Horse Advisory Representative: Katie D. We also said good luck to our Seniors that are leaving for college: Grace G., is going to West Chester University we will miss her and hope she comes back to visit on her breaks. Maritza F., who was our FEARLESS LEADER/PRESIDENT for 4 years will be attending Rutgers University Nursing School in New Brunswick. We will miss her enthusiasm and spunk and keeping us all informed and in line and again the recipient of the Marie Asper Scholarship award, we know she will make us proud, and hope to see her soon. The next meeting and the start of our new “normal” will be September 14th, 2021 6 pm at CowSlip Green!
